Sumario:The general goal of this working document is to analyze the effects on the income of five Argentine representative professions, which were affected directly or indirectly due to the Preventive and Mandatory Social Isolation, product of the global pandemic caused by the covid-19. The interviews were applied to professionals in a targeted and intentional way, with questions about their income in this context and about their perceptions about it. In this sense, the methodology selected was qualitative, transversal and exploratory-descriptive scope, using interviews as the main primary data collection tool. The results showed differences based on the professions interviewed: while engineers saw their income decrease, university teachers noticed a rise in their fees and amount of work, although with a greater daily hour dedication. Trades, such as bricklayers, mechanics, car washers, or hairdressers, indicated that their income ultimately ended up tied, so they had to invest in protocols and facilities for financing payment. Veterinarians found problems in obtaining the necessary supplies, and a little increase in their fees during this period. Doctors, without a doubt, are the ones who cannot more or less objectively measure the effects of their income, since they are affected by psychological and family issues, who are going through their situation at the forefront of the fight against covid-19.
