Sumario:A description of the main pedagogical strategies of the Prensa Escuela Program of Medellín is exposed, which were identified in the research: Mediation of the Prensa Escuela in citizen training and ethics, carried out in agreement between the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the Universidad of San Buenaventura and the newspaper El Colombiano. Through a qualitative methodology and documentary review, the written productions of the annual publication of the Program called El Taller (2012-2016) were analyzed to establish the procedures and strategies related to the key objectives, which are: criteria reading and production of responsible content. Thus, it was found that pedagogical strategies on ethics begin with reflection on oneself, are related to the interpretation of reality for the promotion of autonomy; as for citizen training, the recognition of the territory, the problematization of reality and narration are the key issues for its strengthening.
