description This year, the Faculty of Psychology at Saint Thomas University will be four decades old. Four decades training psychologists at many different levels and specialties. Throughout this time, the Faculty has undergone transformations and has been distinguished with high quality certifications in Colombia.The assessments that led to those distinctions cover pertinence, flexibility, integrality, interdisciplinariety, transversality and internationalisation. Hence, it is clear that those principles have led the activities of the Faculty through its institutional educational model and a continuous process of self assessment.This educational model and its associated training process has been guided by a Thomasian humanist perspective, with a pluri-paradigmatic scope. The undergraduate degree has incorporated APA’s standards and therefore has training in research, psychobiological bases of behaviour, development, cognition, sociocultural contexts, individual differences and the many applications of Psychology.Our training model is integral and humanistic, emphasises shared responsibility, a pluriparadigmatic and multi-professional view, and a marked understanding of families within an inter- and transciplinary framework led by significant learning and problem-based pedagogy.It is under that perspective that our Psychology degree has advanced and that our postgraduate programmes have developed: our master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, which has pioneered clinical training with a systemic core; our master’s degree in Legal Psychology, along with a specialisation programme; and a doctoral programme.Evidently, this road travelled by the Faculty and Diversitas shows consistency and pertinence, but above all, it points to new directions and routes towards excellence.Diversitas has been a part of this history of education, production of knowledge, and along the way has become a channel characterised by prestige and visibility, operating institutionally, nationally and regionally. After 15 years, we have shown consistent growth in editorial quality, content quality, visibility and communication. We have a strategic plan and an improvement schedule that we hope will ensure sustained quality in the long term. From Diversitas by the world.

La Universidad Santo Tomás, a través de la Facultad de Psicología, cumple este año 4 décadas de formación de psicólogos en diversos niveles y especialidades. En estos años el programa ha vivido diversas transformaciones y ha buscado someterse a los exámenes de alta calidad establecidos en Colombia. Estas evaluaciones incluyen un conjunto de características como la pertinencia, la flexibilidad, la integralidad, la interdisciplinariedad, la transversalidad y la internacionalización; y hoy por hoy, podemos afirmar, que estos principios han marcado el quehacer de la Facultad por medio de su modelo pedagógico institucional y un permanente proceso de autoevaluación.El proceso de formación ha estado guiado, además, por una perspectiva humanista de tipo tomista y por una aproximación pluriparadigmática; un programa inscrito dentro de los estándares promulgados por la APA que incluye líneas de formación en investigación, en la bases psicobiológicas del comportamiento, el desarrollo, la cognición, el contexto sociocultural, las diferencias individuales y las múltiples aplicaciones de la psicología.La formación se reconoce como integral y humanista, que enfatiza en la corresponsabilidad, con una mirada pluriparadigmática y pluriprofesional y, una comprensión marcada en la familia, en una perspectiva inter y transdisciplinar, con una pedagogía problémica y del aprendizaje significativo (PEP, 2011).Bajo esta perspectiva es que se ha tejido nuestro programa de psicología y se han desarrollado los programas de postgrado, la maestría en Psicología Clínica, la cual ha sido pionera en la formación clínica con una perspectiva sistémica en el país; y maestría en Psicología Jurídica, especialización en Psicología Jurídica y Forense; y hoy se gesta un programa de doctorado.Para Diversitas reseñar estas 4 décadas es parte central de cómo la revista en sus primeros 15 años ha formado parte de esta historia de formación, producción de conocimiento, como canal de confianza de prestigio y de visibilidad no sólo institucional sino a nivel nacional y regional. Hoy Diversitas, también cumpliendo 15 años ha mostrado sostenibilidad y crecimiento en calidad editorial, en la calidad de contenidos, en su visibilidad y en su difusión. Hoy contamos con un plan estratégico y un plan de mejora que esperamos nos asegure un camino de calidad y sostenibilidad en el mediano y largo plazo.
