Sumario:Within the conceptual visions of agency theory that have become popular among economists, there are various approaches. The agency theory analyzes the profile of formal and informal contracts, through which one or more persons named as “the principal” entrust to another person called “the agent”, the defense of their interests, delegating in him a certain power of decision. It also occurs when the company's shareholders entrust the company’s management to an administrator. Within this context and following Sen(2000), the use of the term “agency” must have a series of precisions.
