Sumario:Abdominal aortic aneurysms are a frequent, usually asymptomatic alteration ofmultifactorial origin. The risk of rupture and death is directly related to the sizeof the aneurysm; in the cases of patients requiring surgical repair, this is alsorelated to the type of procedure performed, with lower morbidity and mortalityobserved in patients treated with endovascular repair. A descriptive andretrospective study is presented, with the objective of characterizing the patientsand the surgical and morbidity and mortality results of the endovascular repairof abdominal aortic aneurysms, in the General Clinic of the North, during theperiod 2015 - 2016. It is concluded that the Endovascular treatment of AAA isan effective and safe procedure at the local level; our experience resembles thatdescribed in the literature; demonstrating that the results in terms of morbidityand mortality and hospital stay are considerably higher than those of opensurgery
