Sumario:Introduction Transdiscipline and Nursing make up a binomial of enormous theoretical, investigative and practical potential. Objective: To present in a general way what the specialized literature on Nursing and Transdisciplinary propose. To conduct a documentary inquiry, based on the electronic and manual search of the Nursing and Transdisciplinary literature. Methodology: The study started with the question “What is the state of the art of literature published in the last fifteen years regarding the incorporation of the concept of Transdiscipline in different studies pertaining to Nursing? Documented descriptive design in three chronological sections, 2000- 2004, 2005- 2009 and 2010-2015. Review of Global Nursing, Scielo, Aquichan Magazine, Lilacs, Medline, Pubmed. 150 articles were analyzed, using 60 relevant ones for the study. Results The incorporation of Transdisciplinary thinking into the theoretical, methodological and practical developments of Nursing is fundamental for new approaches to the rationality that constitutes its corpus of concepts, axiological thinking systems and ethical and professional refiection schemes. Conclusion The epistemological refiections by the Transdiscipline and its relation with Nursing open the theoretical rationality towards new models of thought, less reductive, fragmented and linear.
