Sumario:To guarantee sustainability of companies in the healthcare industry, one of the important factors to be monitored is the cost structure. To this end, the cost structure needs to be measured in order to produce proposals for improvement. Although there are various measuring methodologies, one question that usually arises is where one should start. In other words, what processes should be measured first and which processes are most likely to be monitored. Thus, it is important for organizations to have a well-structured methodology in place that allows them to give a hierarchical structure to processes based on their needs and objectives. Prioritizing processes is, therefore, a function that not only lists the processes to be tackled in a hierarchical manner, but also provides a starting point for measuring costs. This paper presents a well-structured methodology for carrying out this hierarchical structuring.
