| Sumario: | the main purpose of this article is to present an analysis of the current crisis in the financing of the inter-american human rights system and the implications this may have for the protection of human rights of the countries that have accepted its competence. for this purpose, the current forms of financing will be addressed, and the reader will be shown what is the current situation of this financing, as well as the factors that have contributed to the underfunding of this system, such as the alterations in the commitments acquired by states that voluntarily provide resources for the operation of this system.
likewise, some proposals are outlined that could in some way contribute to strengthening the commitment of the states in their duty to provide the necessary resources to an instance that means a further guarantee for the human rights of its citizens. |
