Sumario:Expropriation for public utility or social interest is a legal figure in which the State has the power to deprive an individual of his or her property rights. However, a “fair” and “prior” compensation must be recognized for the dispossession of his or her property. The purpose of this paper is to determine whether the payment methods used by the authorities for the recognition of such compensation are in accordance with the International Treaties or if, on the contrary, they are in contravention of them. Likewise, if this indemnification that is granted to the expropriated complies with the integrality of the economic and social damages caused to them as a result of the expropriation
