The general purpose of this article is to provide a description of behaviors and attitudes of resistance towards school culture among students at three secondary schools at income levels one, two, and three in the city of Cali using a qualitative approach. Interpreting these expressions of rejection on the part of the students of school rules and school culture overall, based on theories of resistance, makes it possible to achieve an understanding of the complex issues of educational institutions today.
El artículo tiene como objetivo general describir desde un enfoque cualitativo los comportamientos y actitudes de resistencia a la cultura escolar de los estudiantes de tres instituciones educativas de básica secundaria, de estratos uno, dos y tres en la ciudad de Cali. Interpretar estas manifestaciones de rechazo del estudiantado a las normas escolares y en general a la cultura escolar, desde las teorías de la resistencia permite una comprensión de la compleja problemática que vivencia las instituciones educativas de hoy.
