Sumario:Although information and communication technologies have had a big impact at the present time, they have not been incorporated entirely in the field of education. In this regard, there are many investigative experiences that have been developed in different scenarios, for this reason, the aim of this article is to present an assessment of the most common aspects found in research background published in the web by various authors with regard to ICT in education. The methodology used was qualitative, hermeneutics, documentary and descriptive type, being used as an instrument, the grid of analysis using a database in Microsoft Access. The main conclusions reveal that not all educational institutions are prepared to deal with the digital age, but they recognize that ICT are a necessary way, although not absolute to improve and be more effective in the learning of the student. In a few words, ICT improve the way to teach and therefore, to learn, without forgetting the traditional methods.
