Describir las características y desenlaces de los pacientes sometidos a reparación de eventraciones entre el 1 de enero del 2013 y el 31 de diciembre del 2017 en el Hospital Universitario Mayor - Méderi.
Diseño y métodos. Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, con información recolectada de forma retrospectiva. Se incluirán pacientes sometidos a cirugía de reparación de la hernia incisional (eventracional) en el Hospital Universitario Mayor - Méderi. Se aplicaron métodos de análisis descriptivo y analítico con el fin de describir y explorar relaciones entre variables. Resultados. Se incluyeron 562 pacientes. Las eventraciones mayores a 10 cm ocurrieron en el 28,5% de los casos. En personas con eventraciones mayores a 10 cm se encuentró relación con el antecedente de eventraciones, eventrorrafia y manipulación del tracto gastrointestinal. Las hernias de ubicación epigástrica (21,2%), umbilical (26,2%) e infraumbilical (17,6%) fueron las más frecuentes. El antecedente de eventración, eventrorrafia, hernia mayor a 10 cm y manipulación del tracto gastrointestinal mostraron relación con el desarrollo de las hernias en estas ubicaciones. La posición de la malla que se empleó con mayor frecuencia fue la ONLAY (76,8%). La recidiva ocurrió en el 2,7% de los pacientes. Los seromas aparecieron como complicación en el 9% de los pacientes. Conclusión. La recidiva ocurre con cierta frecuencia en los pacientes operados por reparación de hernia incisional. Los seromas, el tamaño de la hernia, antecedente de eventrorrafia y eventración están relacionados con el desarrollo de la hernia incisional y sus desenlaces. |
