The tüummas, known thus in the Wayuunaiki, are stones of red color, carved and mostly placed in necklaces accompanied by gofd. Within this tradition he is charged with specific meanings and energies, which are expressed in the daily practices that relate the vitality and properties of these to the life of the Wayuu. That value that is granted is touching with what is meant by wealth and power in the exchange between the clans, since it is an object that guarantees respect and peace. These characteristics and uses are the elements that complicate the scope of their meaning, because they are not only kept in a private use for protection: to cure diseases or in the prestige of having it; But that all these characteristics of their meaning appear disconnected from each other by contexts and appearances. However, they are articulated in a way that is not obvious: the territory, the variety of stones that are used: a history marked by trade and smuggling; Glimpses relationships to understand that is the tüumrna in its complexity. Este trabajo aborda el ámbito del significado y vitalidad de las tüummas dentro del pueblo wayuu. Las tüummas, conocidas así en el wayuunaiki, son piedras de color rojo, talladas y en su mayoría puestas en collares acompañadas de Oro. Dentro de esta tradición se le carga significados y energías específicas, que se expresan en las prácticas cotidianas que relacionan la vitalidad y propiedades de estas con la Vida del Wayuu. Ese valor que se les otorga es tocante con 10 que se entiende por riqueza y poder en ei intercambio entre los clanes, ya que es un objeto que garantiza el respeto y la paz. Estas características y usos, son los elementos que complejizan el ámbito de su significado, porque no solo se guardan en un uso privado para la protección, para sanar enfermedades o en el prestigio de teneria; sino que pareciera que todas estas características de su significado se presentan desconectadas entre sí por contextos y apariencias. Sin embargo, se articulan de una forma que no es evidente: el territorio, la variedad de piedras que se utilizan, una historia marcada por el comercio y el contrabando; vislumbran unas relaciones para entender que es la tüumma en su complejidad.
